FFS COMMUNITY-WIDE MEETUP: A WEEKEND OF RENEWAL

MARCH 28-31, 2024

Please join us for an unofficial FFS gathering over Easter Weekend in Tampa, Florida

A community-led gathering for FFS alumni, partners, and children

The Tampa Meetup is back!

March 28-31, 2024

A weekend built for, by, and about community.

This meetup is about community: building it, feeling it, playing in it, loving it.

We are thrilled to create a weekend where current Fit For Service members and alumni are invited to come together, bring their partners and children, and strengthen the fabric of our community.

All 2024 FFS members as well as alumni of Fit For Service who have attended a signature FFS event (like a core summit, a Full Temple Reset retreat, the Road to Union, or Arkadia) are invited to this event. Current and alumni members of FFS may bring their significant other and their children as guests.

How this came to be

In 2022, a team of FFS members joined forces to create an opportunity for FFS members and alumni to come together with their families and dream into creating intentional communities. In March 2022, we hosted the unofficial meetup in Tampa at an intentional community built by Sarah Sullivan’s family called Winthrop. We never could have anticipated what a profoundly meaningful experience that weekend would turn out to be.

So, the team of volunteers joined forces for a second meet-up over Easter Weekend in 2023. The second meetup provided so many FFS members and their families with a special opportunity to reimagine ritual and tradition over the Easter holiday.

Now, the team is back for a third meetup over Easter in 2023! Our values are still the same: family, affordability, community building, and service. Our dream is to create an affordable, meaningful way for FFS members and their families to experience the transformative power of community together, and to include a moment to honor our brother Parker. We hope you will join us!

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be hosting…

Healing Salon

So many FFS members offer amazing healing services. So, we are offering Healing Salons at specific times throughout the weekend for you to share your medicine. Kye Peven—Naturpath and Chinese Medicine Doctor—is leading the Healing Salons this year. Reach out to Kye (kye.peven@gmail.com) if you’re a practitioner and want to share your healing arts with members over the weekend.

Kids Programming

Youth in our community drive the spirit of our Meetup! And our Kids Programming has become the hallmark of our weekend. To make this meetup as family friendly as possible, we are organizing several programs throughout the weekend for the kids in attendance! If you would like to join the team that is supporting kids, please contact Jess Forte, Alicia Kay, or Sean Ashcroft.

Altar

We will prepare an altar to make the space of this weekend sacred. Please bring with you sacred items that are special to you to place on the altar during the weekend. The altar will be a central part of the Rituals of Transformational. You can take them home at the conclusion of the weekend.
